IMHO, MP thought the Loch BOD was real, afterall, Rod Boone and his family are pretty famous people.
I also believe that WP and HC are very honest people as well. I think their integrity helped pull MP in. It is easy for me to see that MP thought he was dealing with good people. Some of them ( WP, HC, TS, and others ) are most likely, VERY good people.
Imho, I do believe that MP figured out pretty quick, that the LOCH BOD was scamsters, but the Tech had a good chance. Once MP decided to take the Tech forward, he did what he HAD TO, to accomplish the break out.
