I totally agree that MS will fetch a premium. I also agree the premium can not be multiples of regular silk if used for clothing.

A silk tie can cost between 20 and 100 bucks. I could see a 100 dollar MS tie but only as a novelty. I can NOT see a 300-500 dollar tie made of monster silk.

I do believe that a 2-3x price could be obtained for monster silk if they do not start with mundane clothing.
There is no reason to pay extra for a spider silk tie. But a spider silk reinforced helmet I could see paying a premium for.

A premium can only be achieved by having a use for the special properties of a product.
MS is stronger and smoother. That are its only 2 properties that are different from regular silk.

I smoother stronger tie will not help. And if we can only get a 50% premium for MS from a tie company then we can not expect a helmet manufacture to buy it for any more then that.

I think this is the reason it could be taking a while to find the right customer. There are probably clothing manufactures wanting it bad, but Kim would be shooting himself in the foot to sell to them.
He needs to break into the tech industry with it if he can.

As for researching "someone else's claims" I do that with almost every claim made. If you say A and ZF says B, I may not know which is right.
So I look it up for 2 reasons.

#1 Most questions are very valid and I would like to know the answers myself.

#2 as Mod I do try to do my best to keep silly arguments from popping up.

If all it takes is to google "Japans silk industry" or "silk business for sale" while I am sitting here watching the ticks go by I can only learn something.

I think more people should investigate ANY statement made here that could have an impact on our investment.

Someone who just continues a rumor because "ZF said" or "Manshoon said". Not only are they a fool but they will become the center of an argument over if "planed" is an act of stupidity or if it is something as simple as "i didn't hit the N key twice and spell check says its a word"

This board is full of people wanting everyone to believe that their side is right.
I KNOW my side is right because if I don't know I find out.

When people do not look for themselves we get a reaction like the day before the CC. Too many people putting too much value on rumors only create volatility.

As much as I like volatility to trade on I do not like the effect it has in the long term on a stock. If your stock takes wild swings then you don't know when is a good time to enter so you don't. That could cause serious low to no volume and a declining PPS.
