Yup Torre sure was not allergic to calling in relievers. He didn't seem to have much problem in asking them to throw a lot of innings back to back to back!!

I think that Girardi is doing a pretty good job but lately the starters have been going so deep into games that it makes his choices pretty easy. Really makes a difference when the guys that do come in from the pen are in the roles that fit and are fresh.

With the pitching that the Yanks have if they could start to hit a little with some runners on this could be a really special team. Getting Gardner back would help there some I think because speed puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher and the defense.
