Anatabloc Sales Growth

Now that almost all the US GNC stores are stocking Anatabloc, I think the vast majority of the sales growth is occurring at GNC retail stores. While I believe sales are growing steadily on GNC's website and on Amazon, it's hard to prove or verify that now. But I think there is a hidden growth occurring with Star Scientific's website sales that most people aren't considering.

I have seen posts on the Yahoo board by those tracking order numbers that have the order rate in late May and June of anywhere from ~175 orders/day to ~250 orders/day. The most recent posts I have seen seem to show the rate is averaging 185 orders/day. That is definitely up from Q1 2012, but what I think is being overlooked is the number of people that are now ordering by the case (12 bottles) or by the half case (6 bottles).

Star started offering the half case quantity at wholesale prices about 5-6 weeks ago as I recall (see wholesale pricing below).

In a recent informal poll I conducted, about half of my friends using Anatabloc are ordering multiple bottles when they order (and most of those are ordering by the case or half case). However, I doubt that the Anatabloc users I know are typical of the average Anatabloc user (a lot of my friends are physicians or are ordering for friends and family). I think it would be worthwhile for people who post their order numbers to include the size of the order. In fact, I think it might be worthwhile to go back over the past month on Yahoo and see how many of those who provided order numbers listed the size of their order (especially those orders since mid May when I think a lot of customers starting placing orders by the half case). I suspect that over the last month the average order size has jumped to over 2 bottles per order and is trending higher.

I also saw recently where Star is offering a special price for orders of over 50 cases at a time (600 bottles). I have only heard of one customer who has bought that quantity, but it wouldn't take many orders of that size to really skew the average higher.
