Jeff, Biosante's GM-CSF (GVAX) technology is a big deal.

As you know, BioSante's GVAX Pancreas Cancer Vaccines are made from allogeneic pancreatic cancer cells genetically altered to produce an immune system stimulator called GM-CSF, and irradiated to prevent cell growth. Sometimes, other company's cancer vaccines are "transfected" with this same GM-CSF immune system stimulator to see if the combination is better than the base vaccine alone.

Here are the many JHU Pancreatic Cancer trials using BPAX's GVAX vaccine and/or w/other company's vaccines containing cancer cells that are transfected with BPAX's granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) gene, and/or in combination with other treatments. There were a total of 66 JHU Pancreatic Cancer trials and out of those there are 7 trials using BPAX's cancer GM-CSF technology!
