Why would anyone assume Joe is different from Matt, in any way?
He's been Matt's right-hand man from Day 1. It's ludicrous to think that he needs time to "get his feet wet" - as a member of management all along, he has been involved in the daily business of CBAI the entire time. He has supported Matt's actions the entire time, too, to the best of anyone's knowledge.
Perhaps it's just his rightful turn to loot whatever can be had from CBAI. Matt stepped aside as the heat came down on him, and now Joe gets to pick up whatever scraps can still be squeezed out of it for himself.
Now, I suppose that Joe might not have supported a lot of things Matt did, and perhaps intends to do things differently. But if that is really the case, there isn't any legitimate reason for him to keep these facts secret. In fact, one would think that he wouldn't pass up any opportunity to highlight precisely why investors can expect something different from Mattgate.
Nope - objective facts seem to show that Joe is more of the same. Investors are still competely in the dark as to where this company is headed, have no idea how it can be saved, and have no clue what Joe intends to do differently.
He's Mini-Matt.
