I would add that a definition is really more than that which can be found in accepted texts. A definition as accepted by a group or general population is just as valid. Thereby if a large number of people come to understand "sour grapes" as sore looser, that definition in that setting actually becomes a valid definition of that phrase simply by being the common usage of that phrase.
