HouseHold Direct Organizes Marketing, Operations and Fulfillment Center; Merger, Acquisition and Marketing Plans Unfold in Colorado
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 22, 2002--HouseHold Direct, Inc. (OTC BB: BYIT) announced the signing of an agreement to utilize the assets of a product and merchandise fulfillment organization that represents millions of products established over a twenty-year history of operation.
The agreement between HouseHold Direct and Quality LifeStyles International, Inc., a privately held Nevada Corporation, includes facilities for new membership sales, telemarketing and customer service operations that will be used to accelerate the purchasing of products by the membership. The new relationship will also offer direct membership access from the commerce-enabled web site.
Under the terms of the agreement, initial revenue sharing between HouseHold Direct and Quality LifeStyles International are expected to reach approximately $1 million per month during the first year of membership development. This agreement is expected to be the first in a series that are planned to implement a revenue stream which includes the initial 30-day free trial membership and the complete suite of new membership products from an 18,000 sq.ft. sales, fulfillment and operations center.
The marketing program will support the continuing effort of the Company to become the largest manufacturer-direct membership club within the revolutionary new "consumer-centric" shopping industry.
Targeted to include operational companies that enhance national membership capabilities, the revised acquisition strategy is the fastest path to profitability for the Company. The focus on profitable operation acquisition candidates now includes direct mail, product and service fulfillment, shipping and delivery, distribution; and, marketing operations.
