ATRN might be seeking to go private ..

I was invested in a tech company (but have since sold) that voluntarily delisted to the pinks. I kept this company on my watch list and decided to check back with them to see how things were going.

Well .. I read an interesting article from a SeekingAlpha author who feels they voluntarily delisted in order to acquire shares.

The company is ZSTN.PK and here's a link to the article ..

http://seekingalpha.com/article/607191-chinese-rtos-covertly-going-private?source=yahoo

The first sentence of the 2nd paragraph is what caught my attention ..

"My hypothesis suggests that both of these companies are staying silent about taking themselves private so they can buy back shares at a much cheaper price."

This is a China tech company, which of course is suspect given the current perception of the sector but felt there was some overlap to ATRN in regards to the hypothesis of buying back shares via voluntarily delisting to the pinks. Also the fact the author talks about an investment company increasing their position since going pink.

I'm not saying ATRN is going private (or being bought out) but it seems (as this author's opinion suggests) there are advantages for "real" companies to voluntarily delist and be silent.

Take from this article what you will.
