I mean no disrespect, but your opinion is a little flawed.

They "had" an opportunity that most companies dream of

They CREATED the opportunity that most dream of

and they still are! If their schedule doesn't suit ours, or, as is the case with any business, something comes up and plans get changed, IMO, thats a setback not a squander.
If nothing else - I sleep better at night with the belief my investment has hit a setback, rather than I squandered it. lol
