to further expound on an earlier post...I came across Mr. Kimbles's resume on-line and it had his phone numbers on top...it was 11 p.m. eastern but I gave it a shot...he was most cordial...we spoke for at least 15 minutes...(he lives in Hendersonville, Tenn., just north of Nashville, where I lived for years...)...anyway, here is the gist of what I gleaned from our conversation...he was under disclosure so he couldn't say much...(naturally)...but he gave me the strong impression that his leaving GTE had everything to do with spending more time with his family in Tennesee...(he also has a business of his own)...he said he still conlults with GTE and will continue to do so...overall feeling I got from him was very positive...said several times that GTE has a very bright future and is in good hands...
