Quick injury updates from the clubhouse…
• Ivan Nova hurt his ankle fielding that chopper in the sixth inning. He was still limping after the game and Joe Girardi admitted that it’s possible he’ll have to miss a start, but the team’s really not sure about the severity. “We’re going to have to see how he feels tomorrow,” Girardi said.
• Dave Robertson was not available tonight becuase of lingering soreness in the left side of his ribcage. He felt it on Friday and has been waiting for it to go away, but he still felt it while playing catch today and he’ll likely go for tests tomorrow. Robertson said there’s some concern, but he doesn’t expect this to be a big deal.
• Raul Ibanez has a nasty mark on his right elbow after being hit by a pitch, but he said he could probably play tomorrow if necessary. The Yankees are facing a lefty starter, so it’s unlikely Ibanez would have been in the lineup anyway.
• Clay Rapada has the same head cold that’s been going around the Yankees clubhouse a little bit. Girardi said he’ll have to check with him tomorrow, but it sounds likely Rapada won’t be available tomorrow.
