When I saw that the patent was for an integrated antenna, it made me think of search and how the Omega watches have Liquidmetal pushed into the cavity of the bezel. The liquidmetal is integrated into the bezel. So I just thought that since many people keep saying that a metal back might make the reception of these devices less than optimal, I figured an integrated antenna located behind the screen would allow for both a thinner device with much better reception. I just thought it sounded like something liquidmetal might excel at given its properties.
