go-kitesurf, I don't think this has been stated by AAPL, but be sure to inform me otherwise...

"Once again, the OS, according to Apple, will not run unless authorized by the TPM to run."

Does the OS interact with the TPM for services? One service is receiving the 'okay' to launch the OS, but what about services once the OS is launched - does the OS have a hand in any of that?

Say, for example, I have a movie on a DVD and I want to securely play it and prevent it being ripped, will the OS play a hand in working with the TPM from preventing the rip?

I'm sure I didn't intentionally repeat questions or mix your words. You are educating me so please be patient as well.
