While I lean towards agreeing that CALVF is undervalued, what I cannot get my head around is why CALVF didn't follow the gold price boom. Chart & compare CALVF to the following and see what I see:
AMEX Gold Miners (GDM)
AMEX Gold BUGS (HUI)
DJ-AIG Precious Metals
PHLX Gold & Silver (XAU)
While these all launched into HUGE gains in 2009 & 2010 CALVF stayed flat(at least 'til 3rd Qtr 2010). Now that they're all rollercoasting downward so is CALVF. Given this track record why should I expect or hope for CALVF to reverse course and not stay flat again if and when these others and/or gold climbs again?
