GEO - Obamacare was not a progressive program. In fact Mitt Romney created the program in his home state of Massachusetts long before the term Obamacare became the vogue. Progressives such as myself want a single payer system and eliminate entirely the insurance industry. There is no need for this middle man in medicine, they simply increase costs, increase complexity, and decrease proper care. They are there to make a profit, not take care of sick people. Their MO is denial of coverage, not "how can we help you". Personally, I know that health care in America is a failed system because nothing is being done for prevention of disease. Want to lower costs? Clean up our air, our water, and our food from heavy metals, pesticides, GMO's, radiation and other forms of pollution. Grow all food organically and stay away from fast food joints. That would cut our health care costs in half within ten years or less.
