This seems correct to me. I've been in other pennies that have divi shares. And even if I sold after the date of record for divi distribution I still got the divi shares in my account. It really wouldn't be fair any other way.

With Katx the 1st date it trades without the dividend is when the sec declares this s1 effective and when the divi shares are sent out to shareholders. That's an uncertain date in the future. So I do think we have to worry about that date. The date that matters is the date of record as announced by the company.
