Don....Years ago, I was invested in private placement cobalt mine claims in NE Idaho thru a patient of mine.....and that's pretty much what happened.
It was a deposition and not a board meeting...but anyway, the chief geologist pulled out a 45, shot his older brother who was one of two money guys, the other money guy (my patient), wounded a lawyer, and eventually shot himself.
Later I ended up in a relationship w one of the widows, and a couple of years later we met w the wounded lawyer in the room where it all took place, in Boise.
Weeks prior, I had offered to mediate the sibling dispute, which ended up in court.
The idiot board member who essentially inherited majority interest, let it all slip thru his/our fingers.
It was a weird chapter in my life.
