The old shares are not in escrow. The old shares are cancelled. You tendered your old, cancelled shares for new ones as part of the POR.

In my account (E*Trade), I have two new CUSIPs, "939ESC992" in the same quantity as the number of WAMPQ I held before, and the other "92936P100" in the quantity expected after the conversion factor.

The "939ESC992" shares are labeled "WA FUNDING TR III CONV PFD ESCROW CUSIP". These, as best as I can tell, are the liquidating trust interests, which are parts of what could be considered a form of escrow. ("WAshington mutual FUNDING TRanch III CONVerted PreFerreD ESCROW CUSIP" is my extrapolation of the abbreviations.)

I have a social disorder (although it's not quite full blown Asperger's), and can come across differently than intended...if you're offended by something I've said, I probably didn't mean it with such animosity - please take it with a grain of salt. :)
