And if we couldn't be bothered to vote with a ballot and give a release? Do we get zeroed out?

If so, I suppose we could pool our interest, hire another team of lawyers, and gin up the lawsuit mill again. Or I could take the loss on my taxes and continue to not pay too much attention to this dog.
