If they put out a PR saying this particular component broke and this is the reason it took us 2 months to replace it and this is the exact testing we have been doing then ok, I would have less of a problem with it for sure. Yes, some would complain but those people would complain no matter what so might as well ignore them... If they spent this long testing they should have some very rough preliminary numbers or observations or comparisons with existing products or anything at all to throw at us while we wait for the full numbers. It is BS saying that if they release some rough numbers or tell us what part failed this will somehow affect their intellectual property... And their emails, at least any I've seen, are little more than "out of office, we'll get back to you" notices.
