loto-This whole thing is really about 3g and there are no guarantees that nok will have any better position than their competition. A one time cost to each member of the handset cartel to buy out IDCC and possibly use the entity as an r&d arm for the handset makers to squeeze out qcom in the future, seems a little far fetched, but may be cheaper in the long run.
