The whole NFLX issue I didn't think was simply about a price increase. It was about how they went about it, execution, the amount on the increase. That's using too simple and broad of a brush on them. That whole thing was a bigger mess than a simple "little" price increase which it wasn't so little......

2008 was end of the world, apocalyptic times, again. That would have been a bad time to add a $2 increase. Not that many couldn't have paid it, it just would have been the wrong timing and bad for the public image.

2012 I think we've finally gotten our dumb heads out of the sand and realized that the world isn't ending and things are a heck of a lot better and continuing to get better....at whatever pace, who cares....life goes on. A $2 increase isn't gonna change enough minds at this point. Sure, a few might, but certainly not enough to add up to anything substantial. For my internet subscription it runs month to month (don't know if there's a year option), but when I had a car radio I did the year long subscription, it made sense.....

How many will cancel when that year is up? I guess it depends on each persons own personal situation, kinda like it did in 2008.....the world wasn't ending for everyone, it wasn't that bad for EVERYONE. Each person makes their own choices depending on their situation. I don't make a lot of money, but 2008, or now 2012....life isnt/wasn't terrible for me. Life simply went on. Am I struggling? Yeah kinda.....but then, or now....I'm not playing the woe is me, world is ending card......that's lame.

Again, there are far more and better places I could cut/save money before I'd go and cancel my Siri internet subscription.
