What failures? Did you know that half of what you see on sunbiz is in fact old filings that never even got started as a business. Filing for a company can be done by anyone at any time. Those filings don't leave magically. I have three businesses that are on file and only one ever even got of the ground. I filed because I wanted the name and then I changed direction and the idea for a name. So, those old filings prove nothing at all. If you are talking about some of the companies Matt has financed, well that doesn't matter either. If he lent the money and the company failed, it's not Matt's problem businesses fail every day and no one blames the bank for their failure or says the lender is a horrible businessman because it failed. The only venture of Matt's that I am concerned with is Baron, FINRA decided his past endeavours were legit and that's enough for me. Could I lose my money here... yes, but I think we all know that investing in pinks is a whole lot riskier than investing in NYSE companies. People amaze me when they talk about BCAP like it is so risky and then they are touting another pinky. The risk is the same for all of them. But, Matt has made good on 95% of what he said he would do for BCAP and that is far more than 99% of pinks can say. I like my odds here. If you have a better pinkie than this go ahead and let me know.
