"Can we get the Strat up in time to be a carrier of choice for Vonage before they sprinkly Wi-Max enabled towers around the major-metros?" One poster expressed concern regarding the real threat of WiMax signals seriously interfearing with the existing WiFi mesh/web.
"Can we get the Strat up in time to grab some of the prime (metro) U.S. WiMax market?" IMHO the commercial US deployment of the Strat will be the last to happen. The Slashdot crowd did a good job picking apart the current Broadband offerings. Big telco competition is not the sea GTE wants to swim in. Plus FAA & ACCESS5 directives have yet to be put in place. Huff is right to sail in the seas of undeveloped infrastructure while the sharks & the powers that be decide how the game will be played.
