BRIEF-Superconductor Technologies to raise $4.6 million


Feb 17 (Reuters) - Superconductor Technologies Inc <SCON.O>:
* To raise $4.6 million in registered direct offering
* Agreements with certain institutional investors for placement of common stock
at $1.05 per share
* Will also issue to the investors warrants to purchase up to about 3.3 million
shares of common stock
