Only if one was not paying attention at all could they possibly not have been aware - when they voted and made their release elections - that the 30 was not set in stone. That risk - about the judge possibly altering the split to be more in favorable to the preferreds (they are called "preferreds" for a reason) - was posted about here on many many occasions. If you failed to heed those warnings, whose fault is that? And when you voted in favor of the POR, you voted in favor of a POR that explicitly said that the 70/30 was only proposed and that the judge could change it if she determined that the law required her to do so.

No "fair warning"? Good grief. The voice of reason was here throughout the last month - it's voice may have been small when compared with the loud obnoxious repetitive irrational all-caps-red-letter posts trying to convince people about hidden assets and sudden cash offers from JPMC and "the POR being dead" and the rest of it, but it was here if one only cared to listen.

Now, I wait for the all-caps-red-letter posters to howl me down at the campfire for blasphemy. But what I have written is still valid no matter how loudly they bay at the moon.
