TELCON W/ DOJ:

Kesha Miller (formerly Handy) just returned my call. I hope I get this straight. We talked for about 20 minutes.

She said the reason for the delays is because of the continued preparation of "Probation Statements". She explained that the Probation Department is charged with recomending the duration of sentences. The Judge detrermines the actual sentence.

A factor in the Probation Department's recommended sentence is the impact defendants have had on their victims. She said that Victim Impact Statements continue to trickle in and each time they get a new one, a revised Probation Statement must be prepared and issued.

* I asked if my Victim's Statement had been recieved. "Yes"

* "How many people have filed Victim's Statements? 15!!. She said they had sent out 25 notices to identified Victims, but only 15 had filed Statements. I have no idea how they compiled the list of victims.

I asked her if a cut off date for submitting Impact Statements. She said there hasn't been a cutoff date set, so far, but one is being discussed.

Selfish jerk that I am, I hope NO ONE else files!!!!!

I asked if there was a Restitution Pool established. She said that all impounded funds and assets are under the SEC's control and once everything is settled the SEC will release any remaing funds for distribution.

She said another delay is possible because the Prosecutor assinged to our case has a previously assigned case, later in April. I asked what would happen in the defendant in the other case was run over by a big truck. I assume she knew I was joking because the FBI hasn't kicked in my door---yet.

Kesha was very friendly to me and wasn't the least bit defensive.

This is the best I can do with transcribing our conversation.
