Bob, that is one of those stories that was great to share with other folks. Of course we wondered how some idiot got some JATO (jet assisted take off) rockets from the military, but hey, we hear all sorts of stories with stuff like that happening.

It was sort of a let down when I found out that is was a myth. I keep the tv one of those those channels on occassion so I'll have to watch for it. Would really love to see the car 'rocket' away like that. Did they happen to apply the brakes on this show like how the story went? lol

A recent show I've come to like on the Discovery channel is Monster Garage with Jesse James. I would love to have the mechanical prowess to do 1/8 of some of the stuff those guys do. Who doesn't need a limo that can put out a fire or a Porsche that can pick up golf balls then shoot them out of a cannon? Com'on! Great stuff man!

Anyways, Jesse James the legend and I are related, cousins down the line. So, both the show and the guy have gotta be good! Later on down the road I'm looking at financing a project with a cheap car and do something totally wacky with it like adding a huge engine to it and what other ways I could mess it up which are many. Of course, I have a few other folks that would love to do the work. lol
