We have consistency and the pieces are falling into place one at a time. From what I am reading I can sense the effort Act leadership is making to ensure that we don't screw up anything this time round and this includes over stated statements.
Some of the indications were:
1- The success in mice
2- The success of getting FDA approval
3- The success of the first clinical trial - with specific to the safety as this was their main concern.
4- The success in the first two patients - they gained some of their eye sight with very low dose, so imagine what will happen with the higher dose.
5- The continuation of the trials
6- The beginning of repayment of debt (good on act part to show they are not crooks).
Also as G.Rabin said, three key points:
- We are making every decision for the best interest of the company in the long run.
- We recently added to the Board – one of the leading scientists in the world;................made excellent, value-preserving large bio/pharma partnering deals.
- We have this under control.
This tells you that the addition of shares was not made just for fun, but it is a planned decision. There is a reason.
Also to add someone with experience in partnering deals for big pharmas, as well as to say we have it under control...
Do you know what I think is going on....ACT knows that we are going to succeed and deliver on what they say they are going to do.
They are just afraid that something might surprise them.
So they are watching every word they say as they do not want it to back fire.
I have a feeling that Dr. Lanza already knows that he is going to succeed and that is why he funded the trials himself.
Let us just think about it...he has dedicated his whole life to science, endless and sleepless night at the lab. He is not going to let it fail. He is scientist and not a marketer. This is his life.
Also another indication, look at the news around us, everything is stem cell...there is just want to much going on...it seems that science have come to realize what stem cell can do to us humans...
The only reason that we have not pursued it faster here in the US, it is because it will have a huge effect on the large Pharmas, their investors, their stock value...they are making billion off of the stupid and useless pills they are selling.
Louise, in a very humble way I am going to say this. My confidence/statements is/are not out of ignorance/arrogance. I have been around the world...spent most of my youth in some of the best private schools in the world and I have been blessed to have the opportunity to work for one of the largest companies on earth. Reporting one step below the President of a region of 12 countries.
The reason I am sharing this is to show that when I say something such as pharma's are doing this or that, etc....it is from experience of life and what I have been exposed to and not out of my rear end.
People who support laws against stem cell are the same mentality of people who believed those who told them there were weapons of mass destruction in IRAQ. I hope this example clarifies what I am trying to say.
We all know that there is a benefit from using stem cell, why not pursue it, why not make every effort to support the science and fund every scientist that is looking to dedicated his time to finding a cure...all we do is keep adding charities and make people donate $$$$, where is all this money????.'
If people with money really care they will dump all their $$$$ in to ending cancer for example...but no...They (the rich) are making so much money out of it, they just keep asking for funds...
We have been to the moon, yet we cannot figure out how to cure cancer, what kind of BS is this???
People are driven by what they hear in the media, what is told to them and what others want them to believe...
We need to end the lies and let those that lead us and have the power to make change to humanity, step up and take action!
Dr. Lanza, is realistic and that is why he is going against all odds to make sure this succeeds.
