As was fessed up, he is an unpaid basher, but just as you note about NYP and their insatiable need for attention, it may be that which feeds our friend . . .

Why do feel the NYT might be interested in this?

Do you, or does anyone else, think the SEC and/or AMEX should take an interest in this incident?
