WD I am convinced and can wait for the official confirmation.

Windows 8 is to be released by the Fall of 2012 depending on what rumor you cite. The ARM/x86 platforms including SuperPhones/Tablets/PC's AND Windows 8 server will all be released within months of each other. It will be tauted as the most secure OS ever created and Wave will play a part in that boast. JMO

The thing is Windows 8 is the next 2 to three years for it to get established, same as the mobile space. I'm excited about the PC BIOS protection in the Gov't and DIB right now. This is THE year it begins.
