EXHAUSTIVE ANALYSIS OF VMC's.
You asked for it, now you have it. (Ok, you didn't REALLY ask for it.)
I went through hundreds of stocks that have been discussed on this board over the last year - somewhere around 350 stocks. I decided to look for the "PERFECT" VMC stocks. Here were my parameters.
--- SUB 10 PE for the last 4 quarters
--- 25 cents or greater on the price
--- $60M or less on the market cap
--- 26M shares or less outstanding
--- 13M shares or less in the float
--- Fully reporting
--- No pinks
--- American stocks only
That narrowed the list to 53 stocks. From there I broke them into 3 categories based on their financials - Weak, Adequate and Good.
In my opinion, a stock having the qualifications above with good financials is the classic VMC stock - though not meeting every single one of the qualifications hardly disqualifies it from being a great investment too. A perfect example being turnaround plays.
Obviously, there are still variables such as growth in earnings and revenue as well as the chart. And, I looked at those too in case I decided to buy something I didn't already own. But, for the sake of this discussion, I will leave it that all 56 qualifiers have either weak, adequate or good financials. Note: I am amazed at how well diversified this group is.
I could have easily overlooked something here, so DYODD!!!
