At any rate, (I'm drawing from memory, so take it for what it's worth) if a company changes its name and symbol, it continues to trade under the old symbol with a "dot" suffix - I think it is "D" - for 90 days.

So, the new symbol would be NVEI.D for 90 days until the new symbol trades.

I don't know if there are any public filing requirements, though it is certainly customary for a company to announce when a name change takes place.
