sounds similar to the STM bundling approach. My understanding is that this is the preferred method. Provide the basics for some relatively small compensation ( our 25 cents +/-) and then aim for the after sales of ETS. But getting in with something provides some cash (always needed) and also the connections to sell upgrades. Wihtout being included at all, it makes the customer connection a lot more difficult.
