Job Function A Hardware Security Engineer is responsible for assisting product development teams throughout the company in designing secure hardware architecture, detecting and mitigating security vulnerabilities in hardware architecture and crypto implementations.

Skills/Experience

Applicants should possess at least two years of experience (work or academic) in the field of hardware security. Ability to engage with product teams independently with minimal supervision is a must. Applicants must have expertise in four or more of the following areas:

1)Computer architecture and hardware based or assisted access control and security and TPM

2)Mobile platform security


3)Operating system security


4)Design and assertion languages: SystemVerilog, VHDL, Verilog, SystemC - FPGA/ASIC design

5)Side channel attacks, power analysis and timing attacks on crypto elements

6)ARM Trustzone, Virtualization


7)HW implementation of public and symmetric key cryptography primitives and cryptography computation. In-depth knowledge in the following specific areas will be considered a plus: Security Protocols (TLS, PKI, IPSEC, Kerberos) - Applied Cryptography - Mobile operating system internals (Android, Windows Phone, iOS) - Firmware analysis and reverse engineering - ARM architecture - DRM
