I understand where he's coming from, and there is a decent chance that Libigel can still produce statistically significant results, BUT, wouldn't this extension trial be the nail in the coffin, not the restorer of faith? I.E. Using a similar situation, if two groups of males were randomly assigned to two different groups, one assigned a placebo and one assigned viagra, would it really matter if both groups had males in their respective ranks that did not suffer from sexual dysfunction? The effects of viagra on the penis would be pretty obvious regardless. The same should be true in this case. Regardless of whether the women suffered from HSDD or not, the fact remains that Libigel should have showed some kind of increase in sex drive, with this extension trial showing the definitive, crystal clear results that Libigel can successfully be used to treat THIS specific issue with women.
Of course, how viagra works on the penis and how Libigel works on the female hormonal system seem to be in two COMPLETELY different ballparks as far as the Biology goes, and males have nothing chemically equivalent to menopause. So, due to the uniqueness of Libigel, I can still see several possible very positive results (Libigel significantly alters sexual events or however they measure it only between placebo and patient with known HSDD, Libigel only increases sex drive in post menopausal women). However, one would think that the trial would have shown SOMETHING, just based on past logic with these types of drugs. =/
Really want to invest in this stock, but I'm starting to think they're pushing things too hard without ever seriously considering if their products will actually work according to FDA standards (rather than going in with 'pretty sure will work', going in with 'it's possible, so let's try').
