IMO the next move should be made by either Nokia, Ericsson/SNE, or by(my preference!) Ed Zander at Motorola. ALL I want Bill Merritt to do is stand right where he is and try not to blink. We know what this game is about, and we know how it has been played so far.

"Truth" time is fast approaching, and the facts will be set in stone for all to see, judge, and remember. "Play" time is over, and this game is about to become very serious. On or before August 1st, the game will enter a stage where even bluffing and posturing "within the law" can very easily set off significant and unanticipated consequences.

My opinion is that rational people do not expose themselves to situations like that. That only leaves me with two alternatives. Either we will see a rational person pay up what he owes, or we will see IDCC engage a fool in a battle of wits.
