I love visiting places like the one you described. I find that by going in the area I can close my eyes and focus on the past. I can get a feeling of the excitement that was in the air when some guy was in the last frame of a 300 game surrounded by well wishers or the final game of a big dollar pool challenge with interested onlookers railing on the side. I like to visit old municipal golf course locker rooms in order to dial in to the old hustlers, caddies and railbirds era.

We now can bowl, play pool, poker and golf on the computer, but it is just not the same. The rustic atmosphere was a big part of the total experience. We are losing this part of the total life experiences and it is a shame that in a few short generation spans, the actual feelings will have completely disappeared.

Thanks for the visual.
