But I heard the same thing in the 70's, 80's, and 90's.

Westerns got a boost during the Tombstone days but it didn't boost viewership of older movies. The viewer's for those movies (most of which were in the 40's -60's) have probably already passed away and the generations after them want color, stars, and special effects.

There are probably only a few Kung Fu movies worth watching. The others have very poor dubbing and are completely unfamiliar to Western audiences. People want to see new stars, new action spots. They can only put up with Bruce Lee from the old days and even his movies look campy today.

Religious programming...today it's produced by the ministries themselves which the goal of raising money. Valcom's library of titles doesn't match up with today's world.
