The problem is... reality isn't that one dimensional. They have ZERO incentive to "make much more on the patent in the future" when they are "making much more" RIGHT NOW... without it.

And, even when they find it useful to them to adopt the technology, which they will ONLY after they have minimized the risk it poses to their pricing models... then, they will continue to "make much more in the future" by minimizing what it costs them to use the patent... and "free" is clearly better for them than "fair value" ?

So, where is the shareholders interest ?

Is it in maximizing the value ?

Or, is it in getting paid off for facilitating destruction of the value the patent has, because that works for the telecoms ?
