Like most of MS patent battles, it is more OS related than air interface. HTC and Sam have already licensed with MS. How this affects IDCC is too complex for my pay grade. I'll keep faith in the team that runs the day to day and the experts they surround themselves with in order to review SA.

The patent at issue covers scheduling events and synchronizing calendars from a mobile device. Motorola Mobility said Tuesday that the ruling may help "provide clarity" on the patent and help it avoid infringement in the U.S. market.

On another note the RIMM/P-Nokia/MS news is very interesting. Put the three least innovative dinosaurs together to go up against Google and the most innovative Apple in hopes of squeaking out a market share from the old BB users? I don't see this "winning" or having any "tiger blood" to attract and retain market share in the smart phone/tablet market, which will be overtaking the PC shortly. Come on man 2% for MS Phone OS 7 - gotta believe the new generation of smart phone consumers is ignoring the old guards' offerings. It's all about Android and iOS and advertising bucks - until it is about your set top box and how you consume TV - and other M-2-M devices which no one wants run on an MS OS

It's an exciting time for tech as the worm turns.
