Well, I don't see this as underestimating the criminals here. I think it's a different issue. I see this as them wanting to make the most money they can, and they'd make more money turning around a quick 90% profit and re-investing it than they would holding it for years while the market took off in 2009. I mean, as you've stated, these guys know exactly what's going to happen in the market before any of us do. Don't you think, knowing that, they'd want to start investing all of that NSS profit to take advantage of the huge bull market of 2009? I do, and I'm sure they began investing heavily in February and March 2009. (I know for certain that Appaloosa did.) They'd have made a killing doing so.

I don't at all disagree with you about the amount of crime that has occurred and is still occurring here. It's despicable and no doubt there are cover-ups still going on.
