(COMTEX) B: LogicaCMG Helps Vodafone Deliver Mobile Payment Service

LONDON, Jan 21, 2003 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- LogicaCMG (LOG.L), today
announced its involvement in the launch of Vodafone's (VOD.L) m-pay cards
service. The first of its kind, Vodafone's UK customers can use Vodafone m-pay
cards to purchase items such as theatre tickets, books, CDs and even holidays
quickly, simply and securely over both the fixed and mobile Internet without the
need to enter credit card details every time.

LogicaCMG has been actively involved in every step of the mobile wallet
development, from strategic business planning, design, integration and
deployment of the overall system, through to business process re-design and
training.

To register for the m-pay cards service, customers simply access Vodafone m-pay
on the vodafone.co.uk web site, and enter their credit/debit card number and
address details these are verified by unique software integrated, customised and
implemented by LogicaCMG. Once registered, m-pay cards enables the user to buy
goods and services over the web or WAP without the need to re-enter credit card
or address details. Customers use their mobile number as the key to purchase
goods. This has been enabled via an integration layer, supplied by LogicaCMG,
that links Vodafone m-pay cards to Vodafone's existing customer contact
platforms and databases.

The first retailers to participate in the mobile wallet programme are customers
of WorldPay, the electronics payment specialist owned by Royal Bank of Scotland
Group. Logica's integration with WorldPay will potentially enable more than
20,000 web merchants to use the Vodafone m-pay cards service. LogicaCMG also
assisted Vodafone in integrating Digital Rum, a WAP Merchant Aggregator.
