The Latitude D610 AD CAMPAIGN has begun...

I'm probably NOT the first to post this (such is the way of the world.) But, while enjoying my coffee this morning at a local JAVA IV shop, I noticed what is called a "Scotch Page" (an ad that dominates but does not take up a full page), full-color, co-op ad between Dell and Intel that higlights the D610.

The focus of the ad is NOT security (which is not surprising given certain remarks by Rob Enderle.) But, it IS an ad for the D610 (which as we know ships with a TPM standard.)

"THE NOTEBOOK FOR BUSINESS. THE DELL LATITUDE D-FAMILY OF NOTEBOOKS WITH THE MOBILITY OF INTEL CENTRINO MOBILE TECHNOLOGY."

This is THE first ad I've seen for a D610. I had been seeing LOTS of Dell inserts for inventory clearance of old systems at extremely low prices.

A color ad in the New York Times, even a Scotch Page, isn't cheap. It's on C3 of the "Business Day" section. It's the TEXAS-printed edition.
