I am relying on the words of the GSA itself, which clearly say it is currently terminable by any party, but - absent such a termination - it stays in effect. The judge's statement that she was counting on the FDIC and others for an extension struck me as not being entirely consistent with the words of the GSA. Therefore, I thought what she meant was she was counting on the parties to commit not to terminate in the near term. Of course, they could formally extend the "no withdrawal" period; however, if we don't get that and we reach a confirmation hearing, I cannot see the judge refusing to confirm just because there has not been a formal extension.

Any legal analysis I post may not be relied upon by anyone for any
purpose. If you want legal advice you can rely on, hire a lawyer.
