Based on information posted on this board the Lottery and OTB is ready for implementation but can not be installed until the DR gives its seal of approval. The live online casino type gaming is also available but is being delayed until the USA makes its position known regarding online gaming.
You are absolutely correct this phase of our pending projects will produce a significant revenue stream, but like all of our pending projects the DR must give its stamp of approval before we can do anything. Each of these programs represents considerable revenue for both parties (CGAQ and the DR). That is why I feel so strongly that these programs will be approved eventually. Just about every government on the globe is in desperate need of new revenue sources and online gaming providing tight tax revenue control is a major possibility that will provide significant relief against the current shortfall.
Some form of approval is forthcoming, What and How remains to be established.
The above is my opinion based on what I have read on this board during the past year or so. Something has got to give, hopefully sooner then later. These delays are costing both parties millions. I hope this helps? PB
