Why would the NOLs decrease after Jan 1, 2012?
Last time the NOLs substantially increased after Jan 1, 2011 and I thought delaying until next year was good for us in that same respect.
Increased NOLs increases the value of the estate when it exits BK and affects the potential waterfall to the preferred and commons, which in turn helps decide who gets to own the NewCo.

The HedgeHogs wanted the Hs to be the final "impaired" class so they would get money and the NewCo.
More NOLs increase the value of the WMI/Debtor as it exits BanKruptcy and more money flows to equity.

Maybe I am wrong about the NOLs increasing again after Jan 1, 2012.
