You might not appreciate where iHub actually is right now and has been heading for a long time. We've been solidly on the map for very long time, and our page views per day are even higher than on Silicon Investor. We have no way of determining whether that's also true of RB since Alexa reports on the whole Lycos network; not any one part of it individually.

We were already heading "to the map" last summer, and #board-1125 put us squarely there. Most people are barely aware of the size of a forest when they're too wrapped up in a tree (not panning that -- it's normal and I'm the same way), so it's understandable that most who might follow only one stock have no idea of the sheer size and busy-ness of this place.

We're so far into the growth stage that a lot of my efforts right now are aimed at adequately managing the growth. It's possible to grow too quickly and we're closer to that point than I was really comfortable with (until I hired an assistant the other day). Hardly a day goes by that I'm not talking to either a major advertiser, a potential business partner, or the representative of a large group of people looking for a new online home.

As far as doing something with just one board as a test-case, that's just not terribly workable from a programming perspective. And it's also not a good precedent to set. I get pulled in enough different directions as it is. Leaving alone for the moment that I feel it's just plain wrong, on a site that allows only one board per ticker so that relevant discussion doesn't get spread all over the place, to give people the ability to say "I don't like what you said about this company, so you can't post here anymore."

The filtering should really be a more-than-adequate solution. It better be. And I believe it might be another first for us. We weren't the first with an "Ignore" feature but we just might be the first that allows people to also put their fingers in their ears when someone else is talking to a person they don't like.
