Structurally it benefits Everyone....iinvestors, the company, the employees, (whatever the company is has a greater chance of success which will promote quicker advancements in tech in that field) if shorting is removed, where it only benefits just shorters and special interests if they keep as is. It's such a no brainer to me but there's a lot of money (isolated, and not creation of wealth, but transfer of) to be made by keeping that part of the game in play so it will be an act of god to change up that status quo, but well all be better of for it if we could muster the political will...jmo.
